Yelahanka Puttenahalli Lake and Bird Conservation trust has been contributing in giving citizens living around Puttenahalli Lake, Yelahanka, a better environment with fresh air by planting more trees around and enabling eco friendly lifestyle.
As part of the Rejuvenation project, the trust is involving neighboring residents to plant trees to make the surroundings to the of the visitors and migratory birds. Karnataka Forest Department has been supportive in our endeavor.
The Lake trust was formed with the objective to work towards Rejuvenation of Yelahanka Puttenahalli Lake into a Bird Reserve.The core team of Yelahanka Puttenahalli Lake and Bird Conservation Trust (YPLBCT) started working closely with Karnataka Forest Department to make the lake one of its kind and make it an abode for Native and Migratory Birds.
With 120 Plus species of Birds the Lake is a delight for Bird Watchers and Photographers. Many eminent Bird Watchers living in and around Bangalore visit the Lake to study the birds. It is worth spending your morning hours listening to the chirping sounds of the birds and enjoying the nature.
As part of the Rejuvenation project, the trust is involving neighbouring residents to Plant trees to make the Lake Vicinity Green and when the saplings grow to trees will become a delight to the visitors and Migratory birds. Karnataka Forest Department has been supportive in our endover.
